What can I expect?

To be "locked" in a room where you have to use your wits, curiosity and sense of fun to discover clues and useful objects and solve challenging puzzles in order to escape

Is the room really going to be locked?

Not really. In the state of Virginia they call that kidnapping. You can get out quickly and safely if needed yet still enjoy a creative scenario where you can lose yourself entirely into your adventure.

How long should I plan for my event

Our excape games themselves are between 45- 60 minutes depending on the game. But plan for 60-75 minutes and BE HERE EARLY. We spend around 5-10 minutes before the game sharing the storyline and rules and 5-10 minutes at the end doing a de-brief where you find out the things you missed or can bask in the glory of success.

If you are enjoying one of our restaurant experience we suggest you plan over an hour beforehand to relax and enjoy dinner. And we invite you to stick around to enjoy drinks or a dessert afterwards.

We DO NOT START GAMES LATE! So be EARLY to make sure you aren't shut out or end up with less play time! We have to keep a tight schedule because we are often sold-out.

How difficult are the puzzles

They vary - but they WILL challenge you. Rooms may have between a 2% and a 30% success rates.

Yes some rooms are as low as 2%! Yet people come back again and again because it's a thrill to even come close to escaping since you solved so many genuine challenges in an immersive environnment with the help of old friends and new. One "Aha!" after another makes them outrageously fun and rewarding!

And, between you and I... we are softies. We will give you clues if you want them and make sure you do well. Not necessarily win mind you... you'll have to EARN that! But we'll make SURE you have FUN!

How many people do I need to play?

Each game includes between 2-10 people. If you do not have a full team and want other players to join you, you must purchase all tickets for your time slot. Otherwise you WILL be grouped with others to combine for a max of 8-12 (depending on the room.)

What if we have a bigger group?

We can work with you in several ways.

If you are bringing us out for a mobile room or at a facility where we have multiple games we can split you up into smaller groups and bring you through that way. For mobile events we can bring up to TEN different games at the same time!

We also have an all-day MEGA game that hosts 60 people called "Watch the Skies" where large groups are broken up into countries dealing with an alien invasion. Give us a call and we can discuss your needs.

What are the age restrictions?

Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an present and paying responsible adult. All minors MUST have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before participating. (Waivers can be Downloaded HERE.)

No children are allowed after 8:00 unless part of a private room purchase. (That is so couples on a date night can relax without kids around).

We recommend ages of 12 and up. We do not allow kids under 12 unless in you have rented a private room.
